The 2.6 Challenge
April 26 - April 27
We’re pleased to be part of The 2.6 Challenge!
From Sunday 26 April, the day when the London Marathon would have taken place, join the rest of the UK for The 2.6 Challenge. Your chance to be a Home Hero and raise funds for Neurocare from your very own living room, bedroom, balcony or garden!
The Covid-19 pandemic has led to the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income for charities through fundraising events. That’s why we’re asking you to be a Home Hero and fundraise for patients with head injuries, brain tumours and other neurological conditions here in Sheffield.
There are no rules – apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time. The main thing is to get active, have fun, pledge whatever you can to help or fundraise to save the UK’s charities.
All you need to do is dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 that suits your skills and complete it on Sunday April 26 – when the 40th London Marathon would have taken place.
Your challenge could be something as simple as pledging to run or ride 2.6 miles as your daily exercise, jumping on the trampoline for 26 minutes, holding the plank for 2.6 minutes, to gardening for 26 minutes!
Any funds raised, big or small, will make a huge difference to patients being treated in the neuroscience departments in Sheffield.
