I have just had one of the most wonderful nights of my life!

I danced the night away, with my family and friends, to my most favourite band of all time - the Acoustic Angels, sold raffle tickets and then watched my friend's faces as some of them won some wonderful prizes, and to top it all off, raised £4500 for Neurocare!!! I am still excited now when I think about the night when all my hard work paid off! It was an unbelievable feeling!

Earlier this year I decided I wanted to try to raise some money for Neurocare and wondered what to do and how to go about doing it! I LOVE the Acoustic Angels (if you've never seen them I can't recommend them enough!) and thought what a great idea it would be if I arranged a night with the Acoustic Angels playing, at a venue within a short distance from my house, where I could charge for the tickets and do a raffle and raise money for Neurocare along the way. I had never ever done anything like this in my life, but thought it can't be that difficult.

What I didn't realise is that in this current climate it was not as easy as I first thought to get people to buy tickets, especially as I was tryng to sell tickets in February for an event in October and people were saying "How do I know what my plans are for October?" But I persevered and eventually sold around 250 tickets, ended up with about 30 raffle prizes and a fabulous night was had by all. The texts and emails I received the day afterwards saying how much everyone had enjoyed it and asking when the next event was, convinced me that if I can do this once I can do it again - I have just booked the venue and band for next year! Bring it on!
