Fun leaps back into fundraising!

The story of our new logo!!

A local design agency has put the fun back into fundraising, by producing a vibrant new brand identity for a Sheffield based charity.

Leap! Design has designed the brand for Neurocare, which raises money for the Neurosciences department at Sheffield’s Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

The agency has provided a dynamic, innovative and fun solution to the logo, website and marketing collateral and is managing Neurocare’s complete brand overhaul.

Phil Mellor, director of Leap! Design, said: “When working on a new brand it’s very important to create a balance which reflects not only the business sector, but also its staff and personality.

“When I met with Lesley from Neurocare, it was obvious the charity was a fun place to work and its employees are very outgoing and positive.

“Although Neurocare raise funds for important research and equipment, the team at Leap! felt the old logo was visually very medically focused and did not suit what the charity is about.

“It didn’t convey the persona of their staff and the \'fun\' aspect of fundraising enough, so we replaced the clinical green colour scheme with a contemporary, vibrant palette. This, together with bold, graphic shapes and a clever strapline took the branding to a completely new level.”

Leap! Design, based at the West One development in Sheffield, have been in business seven years and are proud of a high level of service in offering innovative and creative solutions for all sectors.

Its portfolio ranges from internationally recognised brands to new enterprises looking for an initial identity.

Lesley Eland, fundraising director at Neurocare, said: “Phil and the team at Leap! were fantastic to work with, they listened to us and knew the type of thing we were looking for, but didn’t go overboard with colours or graphics.

“We are thrilled with the new brand, in particular the new website, which promotes that we are fun, but still gives enough information to make people aware of why donated funds are so important to us.

“If anything, our new identity draws people in because it’s so exciting – that’s got to be a good thing!”
